Gooooood morning and happy monday to everyone reading this. Things are going just swell here in Durango Mexico.
Good news people! Today is going to be my first baptism and I could not be more excited. I would be more excited if I was the one actually baptizing him, but hey a baptism's a baptism. We've been teaching Ezequiel for the past 2-3 months and in return, he's been putting songs on his story in whatsapp for us to stay sane. He doesn't know about that second part of the agreementt though, I think he just really wants a girlfriend and thinks that putting different songs about heartbreak on his story will help him out ahaha.
Anyways yay Baptism today
This week we had a crazy time doing exchanges with the zone leaders. We ended up staying with them for two nights which for them I'm sure was a blast, but for me was a pretty sub par time. Being an American that doesn't speak great Spanish and also didn't bring a change of clothes for the 2 night 3 day extravangaza does that lol.
During this expedition with the ZL's, we got hungry. Pretty innocent, right? Wrong. We went to go get Little Caesers. I was STOKED for American food. This was the only Little Caesers in Durango. We walked into the store. And right back out of the store. Because it was closed. Major bummer. As we started walking away in defeat, a lady starts screaming bloody murder. Luckily, we quickly realized that this was a scream not from fear, but from an excessive amount of pleasure. Why she and her significant other chose to be parked in a Little Caesers with their car window unrolled is beyond me. That's okay though because it gave me a chance to spread the gospel and throw a law of chastity pamphlet in the car. God puts us in places for a reason🙏♥
Unfortunately, I didn't actually do that. But now I carry law of chastity pamphlets at all times because you never know.
During the exchanges we had an awesome lunch lesson with a member. E. Montes decided to talk about gratitude and shared the story of the three wisemen and their gifts. I thought this was a little strange at first, but now I love it because it sparked a little thought in my good ol thinker.
Even though it isn't the designated holiday season anymore to be extra grateful, we should still always have gratitude. For EVERYTHING. Please try to take a look around this week, and just be grateful. Say a quick prayer or two and express your love. Boom quick spiritual thought.
Love you all, don't die from Covid
La vida es buena

Also the baptism ate up my day and my email time. I'll try my best to reply to everyone lol
