Whats up team, thought I'd pop in and give a quick update. Things are still going mega slow here, but it's been raining tons and it even hailed last week.

We also went to lunch one day and then the members asked if we wanted our back to be adjusted. Apparently she's a chiropractor and has a clinic in her house. It was freaking awesome, highlight of the week ahaha

Things keep going out here, let you guys know what happens next week, peace ✌

What's poppin, we got ourselves another weekly email this week. So sorry that I couldn't get one out this last week, right now I'm kinda stuck here in the middle of no where for one P-day and then the other week we go to Durango and have fun with Elders. I hope you can understand my desire to just party lol.

But ya things here have kind've been the same old same old. We've been grinding the work out here for the past two weeks and pretty much have nothing to show for it haha. But good news is that we have a baptism date out here! Heydda is still 8 but we have her baptism scheduled for her birthday on the 29th when she turns 9. Iykyk missionaries.

Things with my companion have been kinda iffy sometimes, so when we went to Durango last week, I ended up staying there for almost 3 days on some super awesome exchanges! Elder Lugo went to Vicente Guerrero (my area) with my companion to figure out what was up with him and my area and I stayed in Durango w/ Elder Pace. I could write a whole separate email about those exchanges, but I won't. Some highlights of that is that it pourrred on us, I got a free sombrero, and that I just got to talk in English hahaha.

Also something super sad that happened is that all the members here were super excited to go on a huge temple trip, but it ended up getting canceled last minute here. They really needed that trip and they're all super mega bummed now and the entire branch is just discouraged. Pray for these homies they're awesome.

But ya I can already tell that this wasn't one of my finest emails with my finest stories and my finest experiences, but that's just how the Mission do be sometimes. Scripture for the day is in Leviticus 19:16:

Thou shalt not go up and sown as a talebearer among thy people

Basically just do everything you can not to gossip. There's a ton of problems in this branch and it's just because everyone gossips. Try to love everyone as best you can and do something nice for someone.  But ya, love you guys peace out

What's up guys, so sorry I couldn't get an email out last week, my sincerest apologies. Good news for me though is that now I have loadsss of stuff to talk about hehe. But also huge shout out to Andrew Hyde, can't believe you made it home alive. So proud of you buddy and have fun with the greatest holiday in the world today❤

Life out here in Vicente Guerrero has been so so fun and the branch and the people here are all incredible. However, these past two weeks here have also very easily been some of the hardest two weeks I've had on my mission. Starting with a brand new area with a brand new companion with only 12 active members in a little town that often times seems to be totally fine with the religion that they already have, has just been very taxing. But through that, the miracles I have seen have been amazing.

Last week, the district leader and his companion came out to do with exchanges in our area to try and help us get things started up. Me and Elder Cabellero (Elder Gentleman, coolest last name ever lol) went out and just started offering service to everyone we saw. We ended up having lots of success and I personally made lots of cool friends just by asking people if they need help.

Late in the afternoon that day, we knocked a door and no body came out, so we decided to call it a day and to go to the central to buy churros. As we were walking away though, E. Caballero pointed at a house that was way far away on the other side of a field, and said that we needed to knock that door. I was kinda grumpy cause I wanted my churros, but we went over and met Anamaria! Turns out that she's been doing tons of research on Jesus and God in her own spare time, so she was super receptive and said that we were just what we needed.

As we were wrapping up the message, I told her that we believe that coincidences don't just happen and that everything happens for a reason. She then shared that she actually saw us from the other side of that huge field, and felt like we were gonna come talk to her. She almost shut her garage gate thing, but then felt something say "You can't shut them out, you know they're messengers from God. Don't shut me out."

Me and E. Cabellero were shook it was so awesome. The spirit was so strong and I know that E. Caballero was directed to go over to that house. The cherry on top to all of this was that we went and got some churros after that lesson, good times.

My companion, Elder Licona, has been so sweet. He's learning quick and it's been a blast learning with him. It's been fun hearing his questions about all the weird mission culture things I have grown accustomed to, so the fresh pair of eyes has been hilarious.

Scripture of the week that saved my behind is a classic. 2 Nephi 4:28 and pretty much all the verses after that. I've found lots of comfort and felt empathy from Nephi's lament. Go read it super quick, love that stuff.

Life is Good. The Work Continues.
Love you guys!!
