What's up, the mission rocks wow. Christmas time on the mission is super under-rated, this has easily been some of the most fun two weeks of my mission. Don't have too much time to type everything out cause the district counsel is about to start and I still have to find my tie lol.
Today for pday we were picked up at 9 to go eat chilaquiles, visit the saints soccer stadium today, visit a huge christ on top of a hill. Since then we've played soccer and just been relaxing. Very very fun haha.
The past few days have also been FREEZING, getting down to about 24 degrees in the morning. Because of that, President told us merry Christmas and gave us 3 days of being able to sleep in until 8!!! It was so nice and very much needed because I've been battling with a little cold lol, but we're doing better now.
Other story, a little while back, we were walking to an appointment with a member. We ended up pausing the appointment to go sing carols with the primary and the relief society. It was a very fun surprise, and thanks to them we got to meet luz elena and isabel! We thought that luz elena was a member that was having a hard time with cancer, but we found out after the second visit that she's not a member. We've been teaching them and helping her and her daughter with whatever they've needed. Good news is that they both wanna get baptized, they just have to wait 2 weeks until the mom gets off of chemo.
Christmas day was super fun, we went to church and listened to the primary program, are lunch, and talked to family and kinda hanged out a bit. I love this time of year!!
We've been having lots of success and we've gone on lots of exchanges too. We found out that we started to have more success in the area when we started to serve the other missionaries. It was super cool to see happen.
I testify of the importance of service and helping our brothers and sisters with whatever they need. When we put the lives of others that truly need us first, God will bless us in ways we can't expect. I invite you all to go out and serve everyone hehe you can do it!
Peace, love, and merry Christmas!!
