Cooper Winegar: May 2023

Hey guys what's up, hope you're having a lovely night.

This week was so so awesome. We got to teach loads of lessons and 7 of those were with members!!

We also got to go out and do visits with two teenagers that helped us tons and are so mature spiritually, honestly they inspired me a lot and made me so upset that I never had the desire to help the missionaries out before the mission.

Also while I was writing this email a cochroach tried to attack me and when I went to stomp on it, it disappeared, pray for the missionary of Jacarandas please😊

We also were walking in the street, said hi to someone, and 10 seconds later yelled ELDERSSSS. We turned around and just saw a hand waving like 10 houses away from us. We went back and helped this member from another ward. There he told us that in that house lives his brother in law that's an inactive member with 3 more people that aren't members! Were gonna start teaching them on Wednesday.

Scripture I LOVED this week is in Alma 31 -37 and 38, go read those and we'll talk about it next week.

Cockroach followed me into my bed. Pray for us more now.

Hey hey how's it going, this week was awesome!!

Gonna try and throw out a quick email before the district counselor, we'll see how it goes.

On Saturday we had the baptism of Jesus, Cristina and Gael!!! It was a super spiritual experience and the baptism font was packed. They showed up on time, got baptized, and didn't even complain about the cold water haha.

Cristina (the mom) has been the strongest throughout all of this. In her testimony, she talked about all the crazy hard trials she saw leading up to her baptism, a few being her baby getting hospitalized, herself getting very sick, lots of work problems, and realizing that they would soon have to move. She stayed hopeful tho and remembered the words of my companion, who told her Satan would do everything he could to discourage her.

We also went on exchanges and I got to meet Kevin!! He's super awesome, and in the first lesson we had with him we invited him to be baptized. With the help of the bishop and his wife in the lesson and with the special guest elder Marshall, he said yes!!! Super awesome

What's up buddies, it's kinda late (as usual) so lemme get ya the highlight real super quick.

-We got emergency transfered!! After an incident that happened in the zone, we ended up moving the jacarandas ward!! It's super awesome and such a hard working ward

-We pounded out 3 baptism dates and will be baptized this Friday, hopefully we can help the Aguilera Ramirez family get baptized!

-rained a couple time this week!!!!!

-but with the rain comes the sand storms, or the "lluvia laguneras" as they call them here. I've never been so attacked in my eye before by sand lol.

-met another person that is SUPER elect and ready to get baptized, she just has to find out another way to help out her son that buying and moderating his drug consumption...

Honestly we did a ton week and it was very fulfilling to just finally have a successful week. Ngl tho it's been a tough adjustment, I was very used to my old ward in aeropuerto. After being there for 6 months and living in the same area for 9 months, a missionary gets a little bit attached haha.

The church is true and Jesus Christ is our savior. Keep studying your scripture going to church and saying your prayers. Super cool talk I'd recommend is called "the fourth day" or something like that, such a cool talk that helped me out this week. Peace out love ya guys BYE!!

hey hey what's up guys, this week was nuts filled with 3 exchanges which went crazy, we saw huge miracles in each one. We've been kinda struggling in our area but we're gonna hit it ever harder this week

Don't have loads of time to talk but there's just been a ton of shenanigans and crazy outlandish disobedience that just got discovered this last week. It's super sad, but please just try your best to be an example of the savior to others. It might seem hard sometimes but you can do it, the lord needs you more than you know in this work. You guys all rock and sorry for the cruddy email, hopefully everyone has an awesome week. Christ lives!!
