Hey guys, we're back again this week!! My companion is currently contacting someone on the bus. He's incredible and a great example to me.

These bus rides always make me think a lot. For example, I've been meditating what's we learned on our district counsel today. We talked today about how we should never, ever waste a single moment. That we're here on this earth to serve god, and in turn learn from him.

This week something I learned was that service changes everything. We went on three exchanges that were all awesome and very spirituals, but at the same time very exhausting. We were sad cause we also hadn't been able to find lots of people and all and all just tired after the long week.

But then on Sunday I got to see some Miracles.

We were in church doing our normal thing, and we were stoked cause we also were able to get one of our friends, Irma, to church for the first time. With just that I was happy, but then we got a message from the elders that share our church building. That a full family from the United States are visiting and they wanted to get their ward, and the coolest part was that not all of them are members.

I got to know them more and found out that they're from Colorado but originally from here in Torreón. We talked a lot and what left me very impressed was the father's testimony of the church. He still has not been baptized and we are not sure why, but he was left amazed by the incredible service and love in the church. The members in Colorado had helped him out so much and gave him a job, helped him find a house and did everything they could to help him and his family out.

The coolest part was that when his daughters got baptized in Colorado, there were almost 60 people that went to the baptism.

While this may not sound like nothing much, to me it really moved me. I had been trying so hard to serve others more this last week and wasn't sure if I was really helping out. But seeing this father of 3 kids being so grateful for the little and big acts of service made me see that our acts always have an impact. We can help others change for the better, by simply doing what Jesus would do.

Now, finishing up this bus ride, I have lots of other things i would love to say, but just know that this is the true church. Do everything you can to get your own testimonies!!
Also the bus has been super bumpy so sorry about whatever spelling mistake lol.

From Colorado to Torreón...

I was thinking of an email title but I cant think of anything right now, it was a blur of a week! 
Everything's going pretty much the same, we're just grinding things out! We're gonna have Esmeralda's baptism this Thursday and like three days of exchanges so it's gonna be an eventful week.

Last week we had interviews with president blain who's new here! It was super weird doing the interviews in English and I was expecting to hear things about my companion or my area or tips about being a missionary, but just started talking about that I should be strong and keep up the momentum after the mission. Crazy stuff haha.

We met a drug dealer last week, we were just walking and he asked us for three pesos to take the bus. We didn't have change on us but we started talking about Christ. It was cool cause he started saying he wanted to be like the missionaries and learn more about Jesus, then out of the blue just said that it's been hard since he started being a drug dealer. We got out of there quick after that haha.

We also found a new family, they're also passing for tough problems and the dad struggles with the drugs, but how he is so dedicated and wants to see progression so bad in his life. He's making big changes in his life and is making a real effort to follow Jesus. 

Last but not least, I just want to testify of the importance of service. On Saturday night we had follow ups with the district leader (my old comp elder sanchez) and we could talk about the importance of serving the people in our area and the missionaries. I felt super stoked to help out and serve literally everyone.
Sunday morning we were getting ready, and an hour before church starts the bishop calls and says I'd be giving a 12 minute talk the same day about service. So awesome, I was nervous but I was able to feel the spirit and let the lord guide me during the talk.
I'm so grateful for our savior and the example he has put for us. Try your best to find opportunities to serve others this week!!

Wowewwwww what a sweet week!! We had so much fun and saw lots of crazy miracles and could find 3 people this week that could totally progress tons, Diana fernando and Antonio. Hopefully you guys can pray for them and I'll fill you all in on their progress next week. 

What is on my mind right now is our mission leader ship conference we just had. There we got to meet our new mission president, president blain!! His Spanish is a little bit rusty because he hasn't spoke it for the past 30 something years, but wow he is so spiritual. I was worried about the president change, but after seeing him here with us today, I'm newly convinced that God keeps calling people to serve where they need to be. It was super spiritual and we had one of my favorite counsels that I've seen.

He talked a lot about how the people that have been baptized will ALWAYS be apart of his Covenant people. He will help us and edify us for the simple act of being baptized in his church. But we will only notice those blessings and maintain them when we do everything we can to live the gospel.

My heart us full, I love this gospel and the church.

Apart from that, I got a cool video of a lizard last week. It's a bit big to put on here, but I assure you it's very cool lol.
